Good extracurriculars: 3 years varsity XC and track, captain for both junior year, part time job, secretary of club, officer of another, etc.
Definitely disappointed and won’t be accepting a waitlist spot.

I have a bad feeling that UGA will not use the waitlist considering they accepted 2k more ppl than usual.

Rejected, 15 dual enrollment classes and 4 AP’s. The rest were almost all honors.
Yeah…my son declined his spot on the wait list. Time to move on! Congrats to all who were accepted!

Wondering if they are anticipating the cost (lack of scholarships dollars) resulting in many declining acceptances? I would hate to be in admissions now… how would you ever estimate your yield in a covid year, test optional, 39K applications, and the Common App raising the numbers (and ease) of applications. Anything could happen.

My kid got in OOS , if we don’t see any scholarship info, I guess that means no $?
They probably have good reason to suspect a lower yield. It a tough year for applicants and AOs.
Does anyone know if UGA is doing in-person visits or in-person departmental visits? We visited in November of 2019 and had a campus tour. After being deferred in November D21 was admitted Friday. Would like to go back and revisit to get more information. Acceptances and scholarships to other schools have her pondering — so hard to make any kind of decision with a Zoom tour…
They are offering in person visits.
You can visit And do a self-guided tour. All campus tours are virtual

We toured ourselves past week while on a campus road trip. Looks like it was a waste of time since despite EA admission and auto admit to honors, and a 34 act, etc., no merit. I liked the campus and Athens though.

What do you mean by uga email account? We can still login into the admissions portal and see application status information. I don’t believe my D has a uga email account yet as an applicant.
i was accepted on friday and paid my enrollment deposit so I was given my official uga emai account. I received an email about how to access it today but I cannot.
We are also waiting for in-person tours to resume!

David Graves said (on his blog) that they’ll likely be offering limited in person tours soon.

Does anyone know the OOS acceptance rate for 2021?
