100% agree, every college admissions office could learn from how great he is.
I’m an OOS student and got in on the 12th.
- I had a 31 act but Uga only looks at math and English (34 math, 36 English).
- I also took 3 half year ap classes and 3 full year ap classes. I also took 4 dual enrollment classes. I got all A’s in those.
- My gpa is a 3.95 unweighted and a 4.23 weighted. I got all A’s in all classes except for 3 b’s in honors classes during 1st semester freshman year. Good luck!
We didn’t hear anything from them. Regular Decision applicant. Also waiting to hear from the music program which should be tomorrow. Stats are almost identical to person above. Congrats!
Next friday is too long to wait.
It’ll come faster than you think! Just enjoy the next two weeks as much as you can and the decision will come before you know it
Was just looking at Dr. Graves’s recent tweet. The GPA range is quite surprising. I’m dying to know how the decisions play out this year. One week seems so far away!
damn im surprised, my gpa is smack dab in the middle of the 50%, interesting
i guess the common app led more people applying to UGA
Yes. He has said a lot that OOS applicants as a whole have lower stats than in state because they don’t realize how competitive the applicant pool is. I am sure this is magnified with the common app and his tweet seems to indicate that.
I’m assuming those GPA ranges are the recalculated UGA GPA’s?
They seemed a good bit lower than I expected
yeah
It’s not of admitted students it’s of everyone. Those are pretty high gpas
Is it safe to assume that the extremely high stat people who applied regular are in?
from the February group I mean^
I thought they seemed low
Haha yeah i just realized it’s UGA gpas
Common App and TO likely pulled them down. Admitted stats should be in line or higher with last year is my guess.
When the middle 50% of admits come out I would expect it to be 4.0 to 4.2.
Last year the pool of admitted students had middle 50% gpa of 3.97-4.22, ACT 28-33
It will be higher this year than I thought. I think EA was 4.0 to 4.3.
