UGA 2025 Regular Decison

@VirginiaBelle @audreygrace03
I checked my D’s portal (also admitted EA, not auto admitted to honors) and her mid-year transcript shows as received 1/20/2021 on both the application and honors checklists. So maybe you should follow up to confirm they were received.

Same. The increase in applications was killer this year I think. I know it’s going to be a deny for us because my son’s school doesn’t let just anyone take AP, only like the top 25 students, so other kids are locked out. It has been frustrating and not come back to haunt us until now.

Oh well, just one more way this year has disappointed. Best wishes to everyone who gets in!

I should say as well my kid has lots of great options, but I just doubt UGA will be one of them. There is a place for everyone.

Stats seem very skewed this year due to only high test scores being submitted and there are no low scores to pull the mid ranges of the act or sat down. I’m not sure if last years mid range scores would help one gain admission this year or not

I expect we will see that everywhere this year… except FL schools!

It will be interesting once it is all said and done how useful the prior year profiles will be going forward, at least in the short term. I know the information in Scoir at our school was not predictive as in the past. TO, uncertainty, Common App, etc. that led to increased applications for many schools changed the game this year. The past year has been challenging for our kids in so many ways, I wish college admissions had not turned into the wild wild west too.

Exactly. Everyone will find their place. Thankfully, my son has many great choices…and I am fine if he cheers another team this fall. Now the question shifts to Nittany Lions or Huskies.

Me too :weary:

Yep, I think my son will be left out in the cold too. Interestingly he, like your son, was also accepted at Penn State. Maybe we’ll both have to cheer on the Nittany Lions come fall!

My son was also accepted to Penn State! Although his decision of those he’s been accepted to is between Maryland and Indiana.

My son is also in at Maryland and Indiana (FSU as well). I REALLY want him to go visit Indiana, but I think he’s set on either FSU or Maryland (or hopefully UGA today).

Good luck to all!

Yes, we were going to go see Indiana over spring break but with the NCAA being in Indy we didn’t want to go somewhere there was a ton of people traveling too. I didn’t make it this far in the pandemic to be taken out at the end (I’ll be fully vaccinated in 2 weeks).

Wise choice. My GT son and his friends just arrived in Indy :honeybee::honeybee::honeybee:. Good luck today!

since we were not given a specific time that the decisions will be released, do we think it is possible that they are not all released at once?

They are… for early they were released at 4 pm

No. They are released at once. They will announce when in UGA admissions blog and Twitter immediately after release. Usually at 4 pm.

Good luck to everyone who is waiting, I hope it is good news.

4 pm eastern?

That’s when EA was released, I think they don’t give exact time because they want to give a buffer in case of a problem

I genuinely have not accepted how soon it’s coming
