OOS denied. : - (
1390 SAT. Probably 4.0 adjusted. The large number of applicants certainly cost him. Alas.

Congrats to all that got in. Looks like my son will be a Seminole or Terp (or Hoosier).

Waitlisted. These are the stats they list for waitlist:

The range of students admitted from our wait list has varied greatly over the last three years. In 2018, 1257 students were offered a place on the wait list and 24 were admitted for Fall and 8 for Spring. In 2019, 1542 students were offered a place on the wait list and 150 were admitted for Fall and 2 for Spring. In 2020, 1157 students were offered a place on the wait list and 493 were admitted for Fall and 0 for Spring.

Denied here too…my daughter accepted to Maryland and my son is a junior at IU…great schools…good luck!

Same for my son, every other year he’d have probably got in based on Naviance. Just one more way Covid is the gift that keeps on giving.

Oh well. Onto focusing on Maryland vs IU

Congrats to everyone who was accepted.

It’s a strange year, for sure. When I saw their applications went up 30%, I felt it was trouble. Son struggled his freshman year (B’s and C’s). Really turned it around after that (Honor Roll since, only 2 B’s since then, all A’s first half of this year), but when that many people apply, they don’t have to take the kids that struggled at first. At least not too many of them.
