Reflection
Strengths: My essay, SAT scores, Leadership positions
Weaknesses: GPA, community service
Why you think you were accepted/deferred/rejected: I bring diversity to the campus, leadership positions, and I made sure that my essay stood out.
Where else you are applying or have already applied: UF Accepted , UCF Accepted , GCSU Accepted , UA Accepted , Auburn Accepted , I am now waiting on one more school
General Comments/Advice/Hindsight:
Don’t have a cliche essay and sound like you’re having a conversation with the admissions officer.
Avoid making your essay based on your missionary trip, include that in your application but don’t make it your main point, we live in GA, everyone has been on a mission trip.
Don’t rely on your SAT scores, UGA cares more about the work you’ve done in your four years than the work you did in four hours.

Essays (rating 1-10, details):: 1) I’m going to be really honest and say that my decision to apply was pretty last minute so this essay was not my best work and I don’t even remember what I wrote about. 2) (prompt: problem in your profession) I talked about kids not being motivated to learn and girls not being encouraged to go into STEM. Overall I’d give it a 7-8. 3) (prompt: something interesting about you) I talked about my mom being diagnosed with cancer and her stem cell transplant and how that affected my life. I’d probably rate that one at a 9
Teacher Recommendations (rating 1-10, details):: Both 10s (one actually brought me to tears when he let me read it)

Reflection
Strengths: My third essay, GPA, ACT (sense they super score), and letter of recommendations
Weaknesses: My first essay, community service, and the lack of rigor with the classes I took this year
Why you think you think you were accepted/deferred/rejected: I expressed that I was a well-rounded student with my GPA and extracurriculars
Where else you are applying or have already applied: Vanderbilt, Brown, Columbia, Washington University in St. Louis, University of Hawaii, KU, and Montana State University
General Comments/Advice/Hindsight:
If there’s any juniors reading this that haven’t registered for classes for next year yet, do NOT sign up for a bunch of easy classes because it’s your senior year: it matters and colleges look at the rigor of your courses!!!

Where else you are applying or have already applied: applied and accepted into wake forest, howard, & miami

Good luck to all awaiting decisions, go dawgs!
