I want to apply to UGA for fall 2018. Should I apply EA or RD? What are my chances either way?
My stats:
SAT: 1240
GPA: 3.55 (W)
APs: 1 Honors: 3
Rank: School doesn’t rank. Prestigious small private catholic school in PA
OOS: from PA
A typical UGA student has around a 1350 SAT, close to a 4.0 weighted GPA, and 7 AP’s. I think UGA is kind of hard to get into OOS as they accept more in-staters. Your number of AP’s worries me but your SAT is fine for UGA and GPA is alright as well. Have you heard of GCSU? It is a school many people apply to as well as UGA as GCSU is a little easier to get into. UGA gets more and more selective each year. I would work hard on the essays and get good recommendations to make yourself shine for UGA.
For EA or RD, I would apply EA so you have another chance the second round for RD. Doing only RD limits your chances.
