UGA EA Class of 2025

Good luck, I think you are a real strong candidate for both schools.

@UTSquared Nice! Clever username. I have 2 degrees from UT Austin, so I guess I’m a variation of that too.

We’ve come a long way from when I applied, and it was literally a one page written application that just asked for your GPA and test score.

Good luck to everyone. Please post your stats and everything if you get accepted.

Good luck to all today

logged in this morning to see my status had changed from awaiting decision to decided, but now “decided” has disappeared and there Is nothing! anyone else?

Good luck to all! My son is playing basketball after school with his friends and I made him promise to check his portal at 5 and let me know. . . we will see if he does! Always a very competitive group for EA and many deferred get in RD. I am more nervous than he is!

Admitted student data just posted. https://www.admissions.uga.edu/blog/2021-ea-decisions-and-data/

My son’s application status is missing as well

New data is out: https://www.admissions.uga.edu/blog/2021-ea-decisions-and-data/

Same thing happened to me

What did it say before beside application status? I want my son to be the first one to see his decision so I haven’t looked but just curious.

They accepted quite a few more this year during EA than last year. 70 percent of those admitted EA had test scores, which makes sense because that group GPA was also higher than the test optional group.

next to Application Status is said “Awaiting decisionm,” but now its blank. Also do you know where on the portal it will say status update?

Now it is back to “awaiting decision”

I submitted a 1470, but I think my gpa is too low with their recalculation because honors classes aren’t weighted.

My D21 Application still says Awaiting Decision.

I think and this is just a guess, that it also varies depending on high school, what the offer, etc. Not every school offers tons of APs or for some, it’s approval only.

I have a good feeling my son will be deferred (32 ACT, 3.9 gpa by their calc), but because of his lack of AP due to the above factors and his lower gpa due to the lack of AP. It’s a vicious cycle.

Also, the spot where it used to say “withdraw application” is now completely gone for me.

So nervous to find out. My daughter 4.12 (UGA GPA) and 8 AP’s went TO because she didn’t have a chance to retest and felt her first SAT wasn’t a reflection of her best potential. Portal still reads Awaiting Decision.
