A little bit of advice for students/parents who are looking to apply EA next year or are applying RD this year:

Daughter did not take SAT but UGA concentrates heavily on Combined English/Writing and the Math portion of the ACT. My daughter had a 26 on the Math and hit home runs in the other 3 areas but we were concerned about EA acceptance due to a lower Math score.

If you’re serious about UGA, learn to calculate GPA the way they calculate GPA. You may think you are a sure thing but the UGA GPA calculation is typically a good bit lower than your weighted GPA.

I have heard that the middle 50% of AP Classes is somewhere between 6 and 9. My daughter is the oldest of my 3 and there is a lesson learned there. My son is a Freshman and we are starting AP classes much earlier. This is huge at UGA.

Good luck to everyone!
