Hey guys! I was wondering if students that have gotten in the honors program this year and students that are currently in the honors program at UGA could post their stats. Thank you!! =)

31 ACT
1400; 2140 total SAT

Medium EC's. Great recs.

Thanks bro! You have very nice stats!! Congrads on your hard work. Anyone else willing to share? Thanks!

33 ACT :S
1600; 2310 total

Music and science EC's. No clue about recs, but assuming they were good.

What were you guys' GPAs... W and UW?

Mine was 3.9 UW and .. I think it was 4.26 W.
(I hadn't taken as many AP's my Jr. year).

I got a 4.66 this past semester. Sent my mid-year's report in, so maybe that was one reason I got the Charter. I know last semester made my GPA a little higher.

I'm just really excited about about HONORS! I've read and heard so many great things about it!

How did you calculate your W GPA? Did you add .5 per AP class? What happens if my school already adds weight?

SAT: 1460; 2170

GPA: no idea... UGA never sent me what "their" GPA was for me.

My school already had it weighted. My counselor told me to get my unweighted to go through my whole transcript and just give my self a 4 for any A and a 3 for any B. That how I did the unw. Don't know what UGA got for me.

Okay...anyone else what to share their GPA and SAT/ACT? I am really nervous because I can't wait until mid-april to find out. Also, if you did not know what you wanted to major in...except for that it will def. be in a math and/or science related area...would you go to Honors at UGA or GaTech? Also, if I do not get into Honors at UGA, would you go to regular UGA or GaTech? Thanks! =)

so is the honors college worth it at UGA? what are the advantages of it other than graduating with honors?

Is the Honors College worth it? Definitely.

The Honors College is an amazing opportunity, and I encourage anyone who earned an invitation to take full advantage. The HC offers early class registration - this may not seem like a big deal now, but when you are vying with 100 other freshmen for a class with 30 seats, you'll understand the beauty of this. More importantly, the HC offers an intimate learning environment via small classes. HC classes are generally much smaller than typical classes, so you get to know your classmates and you get to know your professors. You'll also more than likely be able to actually particpate in class instead of just taking down lecture notes. Also, the professors of HC classes are generally the most senior, most learned, and most accomplished professors in the respective departments.

Overall, HRC is a very special school. It's essentially a LAC in the midst of a large university - the best of both worlds!
