The Radio Television Digital News Association released its rankings of top 20 journalism schools. This might help guide you applicants to worthwhile programs. Journalism may be a saturated field, but attending a prominent school with successful alumni may give you a leg up.

Ranking:
1. University of Missouri-Columbia
2. Northwestern
3. University of Georgia
4. Syracuse
5. Arizona State U
6. Columbia University
7. Ohio University
8. University of Florida
9. University of Montana
10. Lyndon State University
11. University of Maryland
12. UNC-Chapel Hill

^That’s an excellent point. I also think including Columbia as a choice skews it a bit because Columbia only has a graduate program, and most of those other schools are more known for their undergrad programs.

I’ve yet to find an actual list of journalism schools that are ranked…the only ones I’ve found are not in any certain order, just a list of consistently top rated J-schools.
