So I have a serious decision to make in the near future. I was recently accepted to the University of Georgia and still awaiting USC’s decision, but I believe I have a good chance of being admitted.
If I am admitted, I have a very tough decision. I currently have a 90% scholarship for my tuition if I attend UGA. I will essentially come out with no or very little debt. I have not received my financial aid package from USC, but I have a feeling it will be all loans. I have 2 years left, so it should cost me around around 100k not including housing.
I plan on majoring in finance and hopefully working at a BB investment bank. I know USC is not a target school on the east coast, but I would prefer to live in the west coast anyway, where people seem to have the chance to enter the industry from USC anyway.
So, here is my question. Is USC worth the extra money if I plan on going into this industry? University of Georgia does have a small amount of people that go into banking, but they do not have the alumni network that USC has. I believe USC’s reputation holds serious weight vs. UGA as well. Can anyone give me some advice?
