Hi! I have applied to UGA regularly a few days ago. I did not apply early because I did not want to get rejected or deferred. I have a 1330 on the new SAT. I have a 650 on the SAT MATH II. I have 9 AP courses as well as one Dual Enrollment College English course. I play basketball and table tennis recreationally. My HOPE GPA is 3.2, and I think my weighted GPA is 3.55. I have done multiple internships at a dentist office and an orthodontist office. I have 5 letters of recommendations- 1 from my counselor, 2 from two of my teachers, and 2 from my mentors (from my internships). Can someone tell me my chances of getting into UGA? I already applied, and there is no way for me to increase my GPA or SAT.
Also, my first semester of senior year is my best with ever class having an A except for one.
I also have 6 Honors courses
Your GPA is low for UGA, but your test scores are up to par and the fact that you have done multiple internships will boost your status. In the end I think your GPA may be too low. Just remember theres a good chance I’m not right! Good Luck!!
GPA is low, but scores and EC’s will probably make up for it. I think you’ll get in…
The only concern is your gpa. Everything else looks pretty good. Also, you shouldn’t have submitted more than 3 recs. It gets a bit tedious, but there’s nothing you can do now.
I still have time to remove some recommendations. Do you think I should? The deadline for that is tomorrow.
I’d consider removing one or two. Dr. Graves who is an admissions counselor there tweeted something about recs a few weeks ago saying 3 gets a little hard to see the trees in the forest.
hey, did you end up getting in
did you get in??
