UGBA 10--Safe it to take as First Semester Freshman?

Given the tough curve, would it be a bad idea to take UGBA 10 during your first semester at Berkeley? Anyone here take it? If so, do you think your grade would be any different had you taken it your first semester?

I took it; its difficulty is overrated. It's a fairly interesting course though, and it is fairly competitive in that you need to be careful while taking the exams as a few mistakes can cost you. It's not a patch on any technical classes I've taken in terms of difficulty. I don't think my grade would have changed at all.

ditto to that. i know quite a few freshman who took it first semester and didn't have a problem. it is a very competitive class, so having connections or a network of friends who have taken the class before would definitely be helpful (with obtaining lots of old tests, etc.) as for difficulty and study habits, i don't think it's too out of the ordinary and is a good glimpse ahead of college classes.
