it's been weeks and i'm still suffering from post SAT paranoia

OK....grading the SAT twice so that it'll be "more accurate" is total ********. For all I care, you could grade the thing wrong twice.

I've had enough of this mess already. Collegeboard won't ever get its credibility back so they might as well get over it.

Here's my idea: give the students the answer key and their answer grids, after the essays have been graded and the grids scanned once. Have the students themselves grade them. Come on, I could grade better than that machine.

Well the supposedly do it on different days, although I don't know how much of a difference that makes...

miss independent.. im completely setting myself up for disappointment. hardly any prep and first time taking it, i have decided i wont be happy unless i get a 1900+, which is highly unlikely. ohhh welll... i guess ill find out in six days.

It's getting closer and closer every day, but still it seems far away.

The thing, though, is that after being on cc a lot, I don't think I'd even be happy with a 2100, a score I would have been ectastic with if I hadn't known about cc.

I KNOW!!!

The same thing happened with me for the Math subject test... when I first heard about it, I thought I'd be very glad to get 750+. Now I'm holding my breath for that perfect 800... hahaha

dancingbear, what do you usually score on the math section?
This question applies to everyone on CC

madamebovary, june was my first time taking the SAT. on practice tests i usually scores around 700, but i dont think i did as well on the real thing. =(

but we had so many of the same answers for math. ugh.. i hope i can get 760

virtuoso...don't let it get to you. I'm hoping for a 2100...something I have yet to beat.

I'm really just hoping for at least 700+ (but higher would be lovely =P) on the Math and CR...

I'm praying for a 800 in Math (I'd kick myself if I didn't).

Do you guys know how many I could miss on the CR to get a 750+? Last time I got 5 wrong and got a 730; was that a hard curve?

that seems like a harsh curve.. i would guess you could get 3-5 wrong to get a 750. thats just a guess though, so dont hold me to it!

i would assume -3

it feels like it was so long ago that i took my sats. three weeks is a long time.

Right now I'm going crazy wanting to know what I got (I was a first timer in June), but I can imagine myself going to collegeboard.com and chickening out. I'll probably make a friend check for me, or like my mom or something.

"it feels like it was so long ago that i took my sats. three weeks is a long time."

haha, yeah. I was thinking today, that since the math IIC on the 3rd, and then my math final, two days later, I haven't done a single math problem XD.

Hm..I'm kind of scared. When I first stepped out of the exam room I thought I did really well..now I'm not so sure anymore..O.o

I wanted to put that test behind me...I had to take it in a school with no air conditioning, a huge fan blowing my test booklet all around, no lights (the room voted to keep them off because of the extreme heat), and the frustration that a girl a couple chairs ahead of me peeked at the essay question before the test actually started.

I'll be happy to get my scores and just end the anxiety.

I never really understood the "lights create a ton of extra heat" notion.
