as an intended English major, i hope my essays are good, ive been to nearly 20 countries and i mentioned that in one of them
my short essay was actually about the summer activity "traveling" instead of the other things they may have been used to..do you think this is okay?

My grades are not what they should, or could be...but i have the toughest schedule in the school amongst a bunch of people who take very easy classes and even with weight...are able to shine through. I hope that the good Gpa, SAT Scores, extra currics and schedule are able to make up for the relatively poor rank. i figured if gtown has an average rank, they must have from people above and below the mean, and i hopefully represent a good version of someone below the mean.

but honestly, what do you guys think? do i stand a chance? will the currics help or hurt? does the english major help me, or my lebanese/chinese nationality? am i wasting my time? i sure hope not...because gtown is easily my number one.

a day later....can anybody help me?

I'm sure that Georgetown will realize that your class rank is based on an unweighted GPA and they will take that into consideration. Other than that, your extracurriculars look fine, at least as good if not better than the average applicant. You certainly have a solid chance, but you won't necessarily get in on early action. Good luck!

thank you!
any other thoughts, anyone?

/shameless bump

ur ec's seem to be fine
ur grades seem to be on the edge of good and okay
but ur scores..SAT, AP are a bit low

by SAT..do you mean 710 and 720?
or the SAT Subject Tests?

anyone else care to comment?

i don't know how much longer these shameless bumps can continue without garnering a little bit of shame.

/bump!

lol. you're funny.
I go to Georgetown and its pretty much up in the air. Although, your ECs do stand out.
There is a certain vibe to Georgetown that just exudes intellectual exuberance and I feel like its hard to tell who the admissions officers think who prosper here. However, you have a good chance, and if not, I'm sure you'll be happy elsewhere.
PS pretty shameless!...lol

yea, let me know hoe this turns out
i have positive thoughts :)

for shame!
