Chance me?

honestly? bump.

your assessment as to what is a reach, match, and safety are accurate, your minority status helps you A LOT, but only time will tell how much that helps you with Yale and Penn your biggest reaches. Chance me back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/898730-chances-duke-penn-cornell.html

what’s your intended major, business?

If so, you’re a high match for Berkeley L&S. You should apply there.

Welcome to CC! Where the extraordinary are ordinary, the overachieving are the norm, and the average SAT score is 2390! Just joking. Sort of. Welcome, anyways.

First of all, well, 6th out of what? 50? 100? 1000? Your tests definitely leave something to be desired when it comes to your reach schools. By the way, did you check yourself off as Hispanic for the PSAT? That helps determine your minority status; I think the criteria is 1/4 or 1/8 Hispanic, so it doesn’t count if your great-great-great-great-great grandfather happened to come along with early American immigrants.
Erm…I think it’s a decent list. If you are satisfied, you don’t need any more safeties or matches, but I would still recommend one or two more of the latter. Yes, your URM status will help you, but apparently, Hispanics are one of “less URM” URMs, at least according to better informed chancers. Definitely a reach at Yale and UPenn; I think your friend may have had a hook (major achievement or status) to help them in with a 2090.
