Im a biology major and can register for orientation on monday... 215 students go to a session (there are 14 different oreintation sessions)

There are only 155 chemistry spots left and 133 biology spots left (chemistry and biology classes)

What are the chances that i will not get those courses? I NEED them to stay on time... because the other science classes are built on those :(

Oh, and how often will a professor add you to a class that is closed?

You'll be fine, don't worry, 155 spots aren't going to go away in 2 days lol.. I don't care where you go.

^^ yea it seems like it.

not often. Usually theres a wait list in which more than half on it usually won't get in. If you aren't on it, then you're chances are slim to none.

I wouldn't worry too much about it, because it's out of your hands. If you don't get into both classes, have a back-up plan. Being ready for something other than the best-case scenario will help you out down the road.

DON'T panic. You will get into both classes. As someone said earlier, classes do not fill that quickly. Not everyone who goes to orientation will enroll in those classes. Only a small group will.

It's unlikely the spots will be filled, you also have to take in consideration that most students drop classes within the first few weeks.

Secondly, if the class is still full, you can approach a professor and ask if they'll allow you to attend anyway. In most cases, unless it's extremely overpacked, they will.

I hope I can get them...because as a Biology Major I need those two sciences in order to be able to take everything else....

You also need to take your other Gen Eds which typically take 3-4 semesters to complete. You aren't going to crash by missing your major requirements.

haha. getting in is not hard. it's how you stay in that's the trouble. ;)
