Ugh why me.

Okay. So Standardized Tests and I do NOT get along.

So last year as a Junior, I got a 2220 on the SAT (CR 720, M 770, W 730; 11) and was pretty pleased. But I took a History subject test without studying and got a 670. Yikes.

I didn't want Penn to see that so I just the ACT without really studying. I got a 33 composite... but a 27 in Science (E 34, M 36, R 34, Sc 27). Like, this doesn't solve any of my problems.

So I now I'm taking Math 1 (I refuse/can't take Math 2) because I'm pretty good at standardized test algebra (as you can see from my math scores), so that I can have another, hopefully positive, subject test in case I want to submit both.

First, should I submit both to UPenn? Will this hurt my chances? Will I be okay if I have two faculty parents?

I’m pretty sure Penn asks for two subject tests, but don’t quote me on that.
Either way, they ask that you sign off on your entire testing history, so no matter what, they’re going to see it.
The same thing happened with me; I have some great scores, and then bombed the Math subject test because I took it third that day and was exhausted. I’ve read that they don’t count it against you though, they just use it to see if you’re one of those jerks who takes the SAT a hundred times.
Also, I know you’re on a Penn thread, but some people can take offense to you complaining about scores like that, so just be careful about what you say

Are your parents faculty at Penn?

670 in one SAT 2 test is not a disaster. You make a point twice in your brief post of “not studying”. You can alway prepare and retake the history SAT 2 to clear the record. In any case Penn insists that you submit all scores.

You can raise a 670 fairly easily. Just retake it and prepare. They will not care about that.
