Well its certainly not good. Either they say you are not interested in the school enough to revise the supplements, or they think you are just a bad writer/speller.

In any case, it might not make or break your application. With that said, there are 30,000+ kids applying to NYU. Imagine how many kids have typos in their essays. True, most aren’t going to. Point being, don’t freak out about it. Whats done is done. Just relax, enjoy senior year. This time next year, you’ll be knee-deep in essays and problem sets at a great university.

lol thanks,
When ever i hear someone complaining about making a typo in their college essay im like " wow thats so dumb, it wont make or break your app" but when i was the one making the typo is spazzed out lol @CaptSeven
Thanks , im stressing so much till April 1st, your kind words encouraged me more than you know lol =p

three mistakes is a lot worse than one mistake lol. Oh well, I made an error too (called something a “course” when it wasn’t), but considering how short those essays were, I don’t think it’d effect the decisions much

The point of the supplements were to get a sense of your personality and how good of a fit you are for the school. Not to judge your writing. So unless the typos were so blatant and obnoxious that the admissions officer can not appreciate the content, you should be fine.
