I don't think I am going to get in. So today I had my interview at the hotel school and the man asked me about my interest in hotel management so i talked first about business and growing up in a business environment, etc. Then i talked how i specifically would love to do real estate...which went good. Then he went on to ask me about my activities so i mentioned debate, choir, jsa, etc. And he said that it seems I HAVE A LOT OF INTERESTS...and from his tone it sounded like so where do u gather from that, that u want to do hotel. I don't kno...he seemed impressed, but skeptical at the same time. Now i am so depressed and unhappy. I know I could have done better. Did anyone have an interview at the hotel schoo that wentl like mine...and it ended well (meaning u got in)? I need some hope...

O and mine was a n hour long...is that too short?

eh, don't sweat it. Personally, I think its good to have an array of interests. Makes you wanna explore. As they say, honesty is the best policy. If you were just mentioning your interests to impress the interviewer, he might notice; but if you truly are into all those things (and somehow showed it on your application), you will be a good candidate. Hope this helps!

An hour is decent. Mine lasted a little over an hour, say 75 minutes or so.
As for your interests, they may be a little bummed that you didn't show your unrivaled interest in the hospitality industry if you didn't stress that enough, but other than that you should be fine. I told my interviewer that I had no experience working in hospitality but that through my activities and stuff, I grew to like the idea of serving others and stuff. It worked out pretty well in the end, now I can only hope I get in.
