ughhhh i get so nervous before physics tests!

I've studied like literally ALL day and a lot yesterday for my midterm. I've re-done problems, found samples online, reread parts in the book, but then for some reason everytime I go back and look, i freak out!!!

I feel like i still don't know the material well even though i've reviewed it so many times. I guess it's because I put a lot of pressure on myself this time, and have to get a 89 percent to get an A for the semester. but this is killing me! i don't know where to stop!!!

how do you guys cope?? I have calc coming up soon too...and the same type of thing happens there ughh

I start jumping around while shaking my legs screaming random comments and talking really fast.

Really? I do that on a regular basis…LOL

Go dance .

I feel your pain, especially if this is Physics B. Just remind yourself that you have reached the half-way mark!

i didnt do any part of the 10 page review we got. did not open anything to review. I basically just went in geussed on half the MC/scribbled stuff on the FRQ. The amazing curve because everyone in my class is a failure got me an 86 haha.

life is good :D

lifegr…lol. i figured out who you are! haha.

yeah, thank god its the last semester I have to take finals…that’s the only thing that keeps me going!

I had some relatively low grades beginning of this year.

Then I just figured out that I needed to relax. Before every test, simply tell yourself that it’s just homework or something similar.

If you stress during a test, you do significantly worse.

Also, for physics, if you completely blank out, you can use dimensional analysis. Lol in freshman physics I slept for half the year, but ended up with an A+ even if I didn’t necessarily get the material (lol…hm…we have W, and we’re trying to solve for seconds…so I should find the number of Joules!)

And it’s the 2nd semester. And the grades don’t count towards college admission as long as you don’t do too bad. And you are so Hot.

Thanks math+sci…although given your screename you’re probably a natural at this stuff lol. this is still first semester, so my grades do count. oh well. whatever happens, happens, i guess. lol

Studying for physics just confuses me even more. I normally just look over notes and problems the night before.

yeah i guess it confuses me too lol. I don’t think i did too hot on it today :frowning: Hope I can still keep my A somehow =/

I had my physics midterm today, and it wasn’t as bad as I thought it’d be.

I spend more time trying to grasp the concepts than I do working on problems. Once I know everything I can know about it, I do a few problems and leave it at that.

I remember one time on a physics test where I had sin(x)/cos(x) = 5 and couldn’t for the life of me figure out how to solve for x.

This happened for me in AP Euro and English. I was at a borderline grade and scared to death that I would choke on the test.

I studied as much as I could and reviewed everything that we did, and I got the grade that I needed on the final.

Just calm down and do your best, you’ll be fine. :)

I freak before every physics test. I study for hours. I fail every physics test. Well, every once in a while, I get a D, and celebrate, but yeah. Failure = me.

lol yeah i guess that’s all i can do now =/ i’m kicking myself for not working harder first quarter! oh well, im a senior and I already got into college, but my other deferral seems to depend on this term so thats pretty scaryyy lol

I’m like that in Chemistry…it’s pretty much a self-fulfilling prophecy, honestly. More confidence in your knowledge of the material => better grade.
