Who else is sick of looking at pton's ugly purple/orange/black/white website? When will the update happen?!? This thing is so outdated and amateurish, i can't believe that it belongs to a university, let alone an ivy league school. Plus, there are countless broken links. I know you're not supposed to judge a book by its cover, but... what an ugly cover!

they are changing it

Haha, yeah, first they were supposed to change it during the summer, then right before the fall semester, and now...well, no one knows. But the preview that was in one of their press release several months ago looked very nice. We'll see...

[fries rice]

wow phil, you have all the scoop. Where did you see the preview?
I'm waiting for a yummy pton website.

It was in their press release archive, but they've deleted that page now. It was cool while it lasted though, hehe.

Exactly. Honestly, aren't you a little embarrassed when you look at Pton's website and it looks like it does, while Harvard's and Yale's are so nice? I remember seeing the article philntex is talking about. Where is the new website? Fall has passed. If i were a prospective student who didn't know much about the school and i went to visit their site, i'd doubt that they had the resources to provide a good education if they didn't even have the resources to create a decent website. The thing is not even on par with my local community college's website. Sorry to be so blasphemous. I love princeton, and i'm nervously awaiting my ED letter. Please, Princeton, if you're looking, REPLACE THE WEBSITE, ALREADY!!!

it is kind of a bad website although i hate harvard's

I think Harvard web-site is much worse. First time I visited it two years ago, there have not been yet any changes.

I agree with stardragon. the harvard website isn't exactly pretty...

I'm a Princeton fan and all, but compared to the Harvard webpage, Princeton's is butt-fugly.

Sorry.

Seriously. Very 1998.

Has anyone checked out MIT Media Labs site? That's some fine design...

http://www.media.mit.edu/

(if you refresh, each time the page loads the perspective gets changed!)

And also their MyMIT page: http://admissions.mit.edu/AdmissionsWeb/appmanager/AdmissionsWeb/Main

My new homepage's design is (almost) a clone of that! :)

They should let me design their website :)

The students at Princeton mostly use point.princeton.edu, which is a far better website with daily events, transportation info, social events, etc.

It takes a Princeton Net-ID to sign in though.

thanks toucky7 - i'll bet it's a much cooler version - but us plebians can't see it without and id
can we borrow your id to log in then :)

I'm gonna reveal something: The reason I applied ED to Penn instead of Princeton was because I liked Penn's website better.

I lied. I'm sorry.

oh no, chocoman! still, that's sort of funny.

i'm so glad the princeton website is ugly
it means that the people who apply are not superficial.
:)
automatically selective
I like it

haha i almost didn't visit princeton because of its website

haha thats a great point zant
