I registered for an AP exam that I don't really want to take, and I just realized that I never had to take it in the first place. Yeah, poor planning. I've already paid. Is there a way to get any part of my money back, or should I just take the test (I'm not sure I'll do well on it, but colleges won't see my score if I don't want them to.)

Talk to your AP coordinator. You can get a refund, but it won't be the full amount.

My teacher signed me up for AP English, but my school is paying the test fee. Yeah, I realllllyyyy don't wanna take it either. It's just gonna be a waste of time for me. I don't get the point of taking a test that I knwo I can't past.

Does anyone know how much money would be refunded?

I'm sorry but i dont think you can get any refund. Isn't that the same policy as SAT though?

Actually, I just found out that you can get a refund, but it varies depending on what high school you go to. I'll have to ask my GC tomorrow. Thanks for the help though!

Good luck. By the way what Ap test are you taking?

we have to pay 25 dollars early, then the rest on test date. (82 in all) so you might be able to get over half of it back if your school isn't gay.

AP Bio. I'm taking IB Bio SL also, so I really don't know why I thought it necessary to take the AP one also. I always knew that each class was slightly different, but I didn't know that there were certain topics that AP covered that IB totally ignores or brushes over. So I probably wouldn't do too well on it.

Can you switch one exam with another? I dont really want to take the AP English Lit test, so I'm thinking about switching that with AP Psych.

Kind of unrelated, but last year, everyone had to pay $25 deposits to the school, and then the school made us pay them the WHOLE cost of the AP tests later that year...but no one caught anything until June, and the school said that they had already sent in the checks, so it was too late for a refund. Bummer. I got ripped off of $75.
