uh-oh. am i screwed?

I just turned in the financial aid package, although it was due Jan 4 (almost 10 days ago). Will this effect my chances for admission? Will it effect my financial aid package if i get in (will i get financial aid)?

well...since admissions and financial aid are two different offices, i don't think you handing in the package late will have any mall-effect on your admissions decisions or on your financial aid package for that matter. in fact, they should be extending the financial aid deadline in the near future.

To your first question- no, it won't affect your chances because Cornell is need-blind. Like mrsopresident said, the admissions office and the financial aid office are separate.

To your second question- possibly

why should they be extending the deadline? BTW, thanks for calming me down - Cornell is my first choice but there's no way I can afford $45000+ a year. Obviously this is only important if i get in, but I would hate to have to decline an offer of admission because I didn't get any financial aid...

they always extend it (at least they did last admissions cycle). i remember going on the website in april even and reading that "financial aid applications are still being accepted..." in fact, and i was accepted ED to the class of 2011, i didn't hand in my application until months after being accepted, as my father waited forever to file his taxes.

hooly **** i didnt do this either....w t f??? i didnt think we had to start this stuff till feb. 15
my parents are gonna kill me

i turned in my finaid stuff 1 week before ED decisions came out and it was fine.
