Uh Oh bad case of senioritis?

Alright so I just found out my grades for the semester. Three Bs. This is a huge downward trend because I was a straight A student till now. How bad will this appear to colleges? They're all really borderline Bs too. They're all 89s actually, and the rest of my classes are high As. But colleges will only see the letter grade on my midterm report. What should I do?

Relax...3 B's isn't going to kill you!

as long as you maintain a B average you will be fine

I'm in the same boat (though only 2 B's). I dunno, I disagree with the first two replies; I think it could make a big difference, depending on where you are applying. I know I was devastated when I found out that I got an 89 in the class in which I worked my butt off to bring it up to an A. I'm applying to top 5 and top 10 schools, so it makes a helluva lot of difference, and I personally am very worried.

im in the same boat as you boredpirate. i used to be a straight a students until last quarter and all the sudden im doing bad after getting into my top school ED. its annoying but im su re you will be fine

Wow...I'm serious....this isn't that big of a deal.

Plenty of people make it into HYPS every year with several B's on their transcripts.

As high as your gpa/SAT scores probably are, they're going to be looking at your personal qualities just as much as your academics.

3 89's thats still pretty good.

yup you will get rejected everywhere with 3 B's

But it seems like there's a difference between the 3 Bs being all in the same semester and being spread out over 4 years. It might look like you started slacking senior year. But maybe not. I don't know that much about this.

colleges will see the true you, the B student inside you, and will autoreject you. see, at colleges, everyone gets 100%, and if they don't, fkin skanks. fkin skanks.

fkin skanks.

you see, they will look at your application and go, "not now chief, i'm in the fkin zone" and put your application in the 'reject pile'. they will see those three B's and instantly recognize that you didn't grunt when you get your game on in the gym.

anyhow, don't worry about it. B's are good yo.
