o shyt i forgot about that too. i guess i am in the same dilemna as you. i also did not sign up for ap stat cuz i planned to retake it at a community college.

i did the same thing (except for music theory...paid the original $20 registering...then decided against it)...I didn't really want to do the message center think, so I dunno...

I suggest you guys call UCI and ask them about it directly? Not taking an intended AP exams is grounds for revoking acceptance...

not in my case...i was offered guaranteed admission, w/ or w/o said AP tests...plus I replaced it with World History (oh, fun)...

~I also canceled AP Music Theory because I changed my applied major to history, thus WH makes more sense...but i agree with your advice for anyone who is ultimately going to go to UCI

~Just wondering penguin...do you think one AP test will really make a diff? especially with AP Stats (which doesn't apply to me in the least) not exaclty uncommon nor particularely necessary?...I have heard of a necessary gpa or completion of IB diploma to be necessary to avoid a revoked admission...

i didn't apply to uci but i did to ucla and ucsd which i got in. the only reason why i did not register for the ap statistics test was because it was too expensive. however, i am going to take ap calc bc test.
does any one know if my admissions for ucla and ucsd will be revoked?

I don't think it would really matter becasue it says "planned" not "going to", that way it leaves room for ppl not going take the exams......and im sure they know that not all people are going to take the exact exams put on the app.

Yeah I don't think it matters. You could call up UCI and ask but I really don't think it matters. People are always deciding to not take tests later in the year yet I've never heard of anyone having problems for saying they are planning to take a test and then not.

Can someone please call UCLA/UCI/UCSD and ask? To make sure...

For my UC apps, I put down I was going to take 6 AP tests this year, but I'm gonna end up taking only 4. Can my UCLA admission be revoked because of this? It doesn't say it anywhere in the Provisional Contract. Any help?

Edit: I called UCLA today, but their office was closed.

i kinda have the same situation i put that i was gonna do track this year for extracarricular and i get credit too but im gonna call UCSD and tell them

i sent a message to them via email and the admissions dude said its no big deal--for uci at least

Usually if it's just one test, they don't care. But if you put down that you're taking six or seven AP exams your senior year and you end up taking none, that is a different story. One of the things they look at on your application is the quality of your senior year, and someone taking a bunch of APs is looked at positively. So if you end up taking none, the university can look at that as misrepresenting yourself, so they can revoke it.

Just let them know. I'm sure it's okay, but you might as well be sure. Each case is different, so just because it's cool for nexus doesn't necessarily mean it's cool for everyone. And whenever you call someone, make sure you get their name and write it down so if someone says something to you about it later on, you can say that so-and-so told you on such-and-such date.

I planned to take an Ap test, but wasnt here for the sign up. I am admitted to UCI, do you think they'll change their decison since im not taking the test anymore?

how come i dont recall any section on the apps that says plan to take so and so ap test? i just looked at the receipt i printed out and there's nothing like that either...where is that section on the apps?

i dont remember, buti was over looking my application on the UCI site, and i went under tests, and under AP econ it says planned...i checked tho, it doesnt make a difference you just hav to tell the school so they dont wait for ur scores

i dont think it matters, its not like you're required to report scores even if you did take the exams. so they wouldnt know if you chose not to report scores or if you didnt take the exam at all.

My school has always said that if you say you plan on taking some test but don't, you HAVE TO inform the UC through phone or mail.

doesn't the uc app only ask the ap tests you have taken, not the ones you are planning to take?
