I got a 72 on the June 2009 Physics Regents exam.

However, everything else is above 90 except for Chemistry with and 86.

I know most colleges don't look at regents, a 72 might look extremely bad.

Are my chances at top colleges shot? Or do I still have a fighting chance?

Just retake again, if you don’t like your grade.

it only matters for NY state colleges, and that very minimal. As long as you get your Advanced Regents Diploma, you’re good to go!

Are you sure desi_chick?

And @skinandbones: I do plan on retaking, but that’s in January so I will have applied to college already.

my friends got 26s and 40s on physics and math b but they still got into binghamton so i really don’t think anyone gives a crap. talk to your counselor about it if you’re really worried

dang that’s pretty bad…and that got into Binghamton? yikes.

yea i’m positive. my friend barely passed her physics regents, with a 69 to be precise, and oh she’s going to Harvard.

you just said “i know most colleges dont look at regents” so why are you freaking out

I got like 72 on Math B regents last year and still made it into a fairly selective state school. I think so long as your overall grades are fair it shouldn’t be too bad.
