Um okay hi I'm kind of freaking out. PSU was a high match/safety school for me. I'm applying for kinesiology/athletic training. Is it a bad thing that I didn't apply yet? I will be sending in my app within 1-2 days. I have been extremely ignorant of "rolling admissions" and I didn't realize how much I have hurt myself by waiting. Is it too late to get in? Did I ruin my chances?

yes you will be rejected automatically. do not even bother.

jk…

I didn’t apply yet haha no worries!

The website says the deadline is 1/31, so you still have time. You should send an email to the admission office to ask for sure

You basically ruined your chances. Especially if it’s a match for you, meaning you have average test scores for the school and overall.

@reyalpmark idk what average is but I have an 1830 (one sitting), 1920subscore and 3.6 GPA…all honors classes and 6 APs. So idk. IDK.

I was being sarcastic. Penn State also doesn’t superscore. You’re a slightly above a enrage applicant and I’m sure you’ll get in.

@reyalpmark hahah you can’t be sarcastic to a nervous reck like me!! But thanks for your input!

All kidding aside, you missed the priority deadline, applications were way up this year and your stats are borderline for UP according to the admissions bubble chart. It’s certainly not a safety but you never know. Good luck!

Priority deadline?

@1moremom but the bubble chart takes weighted gpas, and my weighted GPA is above a 4.0

Google it.

paperstown57 - I would apply… you never know. Just get your application in. I think your stats are good. My son got his acceptance last night. He was in all AP and IB classes. His course load for all 4 years was extremely vigourous. His resume was great, essay good and his ACT was a 26 which is not really high…but GPA with that course load was a 3.9 so you never know…he was accepted for Fall 2014. Good Luck and stay positive!!!

Ah, that could help a lot as GPA is weighted 2/3. I also encourage you to apply; that’s the only way to find out. I wish you luck!

Haha I applied Jan 3rd
