I don't think you can move in before the 22nd.

Transfer in a townhouse here.

The idea of having your own little "house" seems cool, but it's SO far away from central campus. 40 minute walks to class everyday through several feet of snow? How can anyone enjoy that?

Am I missing something?

The pathways are shoveled...you'll be fine.

The bus also stops in front of the townhouses.

C-03. I'm a transfer too. God, this really blows

umm jay, it isnt 40 minutes...more like 15, tops. stop exaggerating

it would be 40 minutes for engineers and some CALS people...

20-30 mins for those on central campus

I don't know about CALS being that far....it's the closest quad to North Campus. I took me 10 minutes to walk from Kennedy to my job at Newman...and I don't think it would take another 30 minutes to traverse North Campus :-)

I heard the Townhouses weren't to great, but bearable. I guess anything is better than getting stuck in 14 South

I was assigned to Townhouse B. How frequently do buses run? Are there study rooms? Is it dangerous there? How far would the walk to Central campus be? 30 min during snow and non-snow seasons?

who wants to be my pimpin buddy? sorta like quagmire?

It's less than 1 mile from townhouses to Engineering quad, and slightly over 1 mile to the furthest place in the Ag quad. If you walk like any normal person, that shouldn't take more than 25min.

More like 15 minutes.

40 mins is a good estimate of the time it takes to walk from townhouses to central campus...

unless you're used to walking (us texans arent)

Can I change my housing? I'm in a hall right now and it's perfecto here. Is that possible?

Give me a break. I'm fairly disabled and I could walk from the Townhouses to Central Campus in less than 40 minutes.

It takes 10 minutes for me to get from Dickson to Central....I highly doubt it takes another 30 minutes to get from Dickson to the Townhouses.

CayugaRed - I hope you are getting some relief for your condition. My thoughts are with you. I know you are at your computer a lot! :)

Thanks, Tahoe. I appreciate it. It's pretty scary, as a year ago I was training for a triathlon and going on 50 mile bike rides. It's a fluke autoimmune condition, but I hope to be on the right track.

And, yes, these boards did certainly help to get me through the winter.

It is scary - I faced some serious health issues when I was your age as well. I can say that in hindsight, although I wouldn't wish it on anyone - it did help ground me - my values, etc. for the rest of my life. I don't take anything for granted. I did use traditional and alternative medicine (even in the dark ages). I hope you are exploring all options. You might venture over to the parents board - they have a lot of valuable advice about all things, including health.

you all said it well YOU could walk a 10 minute trek from north to central...

i'd say 10minute is the fastest and 20 minutes is the slowest...
