Uh oh!!

I recently sent out my resume to all my schools, and I realized a big mistake. Under science awards, I messed up the place of the award! It's one or two places higher than I actually won, because I honestly had trouble remembering and I lost the certificates and ribbons. Also, I was an "alternate" for one of the competitions in the science olympiad, so technically my name didn't go down for winning it. Are they going to check and think I was lying???? (How WOULD they even check?)

I'm freaking out. I don't want them to think i'm lying.

i think u're screwed but don;t wrry just hope they don;t check best of wishes...apply for next term also

Someone please reply with a serious answer. I am very worried.

well, best thing to do is to send a mass email to all the admissions offices

^^^^Yeah..send a letter saying the mistake......and correcting it...........

Yeah, I'm going to send a letter.

Do they even check to validate it? If so, who do they contact etc?

i seriously doubt that they will check, but it can't hurt to send a letter with a corrected resume. hopefully, they will see that you are being sincere and honest with them (who knows? if you phrase it well, it might even count in your favor if they see you as being highly ethical!) good luck and don't sweat it...

if they want to check they contact u and will ask you to get them the official records supporting ur app
