Well, GWU is one of the schools I've been seriously considering. I want to major in International Affairs with a concentration in International Politics. I know how big economics is for IA majors. I have a 3.6 GPA, it went down quite a bit because I got a C in Economics. I'm usually pretty good at Economics, but 6 classes plus a job killed it. I just didn't study like I should have - not to mention my professor was difficult. What should I do? Should I bother applying as a transfer to GWU as a IA major with a minor in Philosophy? I got an A in Political Science and As in all my English and History classes, not to mention 2 honors projects. I visited the school a couple of months ago and I was sold. Should I bother applying with a C in Economics or am I completely screwed?

Any advice?

Was it AP Microeconomics?

No, I'm in college. I'm applying as a transfer student.

Chill, Moral. Most schools will seriously consider a transfer student with a GPA above 3.5. You have a 3.6, so you're still definitely in the running. One C is not going to negate all your other fine grades. Good luck!

Apply, GW isn't a state school where its mostly numbers, they read your application and understand where your situation.

Good luck!
