alright so i have a question

I go to a UC right now and my GPA is a 3.81
I am majoring in math and i want to transfer to possibly a better UC UCLA/BERK/DAVIS
but i just realized that senior year (second semester) i took a math class at a CC (because my mom didn't want me to not do math for a year) Anyways it was in pre calc and i got a C in it (i didnt study/do homework senioritis got the best of me) So i now realize this will be factored into my grade point average right?? How bad will this hurt my chances. I mean could this be considered as a grade trend possibly??

Also, do pluses (such as A+) count as a 4.3 when they are reviewing your application when you are a transfer??

Thanks for the help!

Oh sorry one last question. If i took a class P/NP when they review mu UC GPA does that count as a C?

sorry for all the questions,

No a plus is not a 4.3.

It will factor into your gpa but how many credits do you have now. It is goingto at most drop you down to a 3.6.

If you want to go in as a math major at a better UC you still have a great chance, if however you want to apply to more competative majors it may be more difficult.

p/np= not factored into your UC gpa

ugg it brought my GPA down to a 3.58 :((

ok so i was looking on assist and because it was pre calc, it doesn’t count towards my major GPA which is a 3.76. they do look at major GPA too right??

they will usually evaluate both of your gpa’s… If you have gone beyond expected gpa (for prereqs) I don’t think there will be any problems. Besides a 3.58 isn’t bad. My older brother got into UCB with a 3.60 in engineering (from a CC) but I know that UC’s give priority to CC students…

ull be fine dont trip, math is not an impacted major
