I’m an accepted honors student and I just failed the 1431 math placement exam (twice…) with a 77.7% so I can’t enroll in Calc 1. That’s not that bad to me to be honest, I couldn’t care less if I had to take Calc 1 during my first year, but the problem is chem and bio have a precal prerequisite. My orientation (scholars invitational) is in April, which is about 2-3 months before AP scores will come out, which is unfortunate because I’m taking the Calc BC test in May. Will I be able to register for bio and chem during orientation or will I have to wait until after my scores come out to enroll? And if I do, am I at a disadvantage?
As a biochem major I really have no “backups” for chem and bio, as everything else requires them. What do I do here?
