I'm currently a junior studying business analytics/IT and just received summer internship offers from UnitedHealth Group, JPMorgan, and Deloitte.

UHG is an IT internship program where I would be a business or systems analyst. They said that their interns are usually asked to come back full time to participate in their Technology Development Program that's a 2 year rotational thing.

JPMorgan would be a technology analyst position where I would have a business analyst role in one of their IB sectors. I haven't heard if they typically hire interns for full-time..?

Deloitte's position is an technology risk consultant within AERS Advisory. TR can have a broad range of functions and I expressed interest in data analytics but who knows what I would actually get. I hear their retention rate is ~90%.

Pay from lowest to highest is UHG, Deloitte, and JPMC. Deloitte & JPMC are in NYC whereas UHG is in NJ.

Which position is the most promising in terms of full-time employment, growth, and opportunity? And if anyone has any insight into these companies work life that would be great!
Also, I have upcoming Superdays for Goldman Sachs and PwC so any thoughts on those companies?

This is one of those “great problems to have” kind of things. You really can’t go wrong, as all of the companies you mentioned are top tier in their industries. They all consider their rising senior interns for full time positions, and many interns will return to school with an offer already in hand, flipping the burden during the fall recruitment season from the students to the companies.

You have tremendous opportunity at all of the places you mentioned, so now the question is what industry you want to enter: insurance? banking? consulting? Only you can answer that question. The good thing is that if you choose a job that you don’t particularly like, you are in good position to switch industries a year from now.

The one thing I’d mention is that, as I understand, your workload will vary based on the type of company: UHG would be less than Deloitte and PwC, which would be less than JPM and Goldman. Of course, that is a sweeping generalization, so your experience may be entirely different.

Congratulations on having a diverse array of options, especially so early in the game - it’s unheard of to have three internship offers in November, since that is when FT offers go out!
