Uhhh should I worry about the email I use for my college apps?

So I’m applying to UCSD, UCB, UCI, UCR, and both Cal Poly’s.
I’m a pretty competitive candidate for these schools with my stats but my email that I’m using for these apps is: MODERATOR’S NOTE: email address deleted.
It’s my personal email and I’m worried if this can some how affect how the colleges look at me (negatively) and if I should redo my apps all over again using my “student” email.

I would use your student email.

I would create a new college application only gmail account and only use it for college. Give the password to your parents if you want them to help you keep track of stuff.

New E-Mail. I’m sure they’ve seen many different EM addresses but why make it a possible issue. Pitysexting wouldn’t be good either.

you will be happy in your adult life to have a gmail or similar account with something boring like FirstName.LastName. Trust me.

Agreed, I’d opt to make a new email account for college applications.

New email account would be wise.
BTW - your CC name is interesting as well.

It also will help to have more professional email when applying for jobs, internships, fellowships, etc

Yep. New email.

And it should not be DukeHopeful@g… if you are applying to many schools.

Don’t use an email provided by your high school as it might be deactivated when you graduate.

You might want to consider changing your user name here, while you are at it. Not really appropriate for a college forum.
