GPA: 4.0 unweighted (5/436)
APs: Calculus AB (5), US History(4) junior year, 5 APs this year
ECs: Church Worship Leader, Youth Fellowship Leader, String, Full Orchestra, Varsity Spring Track, JV Winter Track, Key Club, 150 hrs + Community service, English Teacher in China during the summer, Magic Tricks as hobbies
Awards: Global Science Award, Zeswitz Music Award, S. B Anthony F. Douglass Humanities Award
I only listed the EC's and Award I put on my application. Can I also submit a resume with my application?</p>
<p>There is no "Science College." Do you mean the College of Arts & Sciences or the College of Engineering? Engineering requires higher stats than A&S. However, you should be a safety for both as long as you apply early (and get everything necessary in early including transcript, test scores). You should cover in your essays anything you want to put on a resume, which if submitted is likely to be ignored.</p>
<p>Alright thats good news, I'll definatly apply early. Do they take the highest combined SAT scores?? and are the essays less important if I'm applying to the Engineering School?</p>
<p>UIUC uses that test with the highest composite score for admission and does not take highest subscores from different tests. Write good essays. For engineering, their importance is inversely proportional to stats (the higher the stats the less important, the lower the stats the more important). However, even with the high stats, what you face is that good essays won't add much but a bad essay could create second thoughts.</p>
