UIC admissions???

Hi, I'm a student in chicago, IL. I am senior about to apply to college. I was thinking to apply to many colleges especially UIC. Am i able to get into UIC with the test scores, attendence, grades, ranks etc that i have. Ok, I have a 17 ACT score which is horrible :( I have test anxiety. I also have a 4.0 gpa. I rank top 30 out of 500-600 students. My attendence is 90% and above. I am over a limit of my service learning hours. I have earn some awards such as getting first place in the history fair at my school and also got superior and excellent ratings in citywide piano contest. I have wrote a personal statement, however i know that UIC does not require u have to do one, but i was thinking that it might look better if i did a Personal statement. Do you know what are my chances? Thanks for your time.

And BTW, i want maybe some of you guys and gals to review my personal essay. Send me a PM if you want.

17 is kind of low....

You really should retake the ACT this fall - that 17 will hold you back. Take practice tests, hire a tutor, do what you have to do. Look at what is at stake: your admission to better schools AND possibly thousands of dollars in financial aid. The more schools that want you, the more aid offers you will have to consider.

Take the SAT, it's easier
