I’ve been accepted to the bioengineering program at both UIC and UIUC. My only issue now is picking between the two.
I know that in general, for engineering, UIUC is a nationally ranked school and in different circumstances, I would pick UIUC. But I’ve been researching bioengineering and since I know it’s one of the newer programs, it isn’t as credited as the other engineering disciplines. And through my digging some have said that UIC may be more beneficial, while others say UIUC is better.
I do know that the UIUC program for bioengineering is very competitive, but I don’t know about UIC.
Financially, I would save so much more money going to UIC than UIUC since I wouldn’t have to take out a loan, since I got a scholarship at UIC. But going to UIUC would be doable.
I’d just like to know your guys’ opinion and what to do, and maybe hear about the experiences about bioengineering undergrads at either school? Thanks in advance!
