Uic

Does anyone know the average accepted GPA and ACT for undergrad freshman at UIC? I ask because the UIC website is not really clear and I have heard different things from multiple sources. Thanks.

The link doesn't work. Can you tell me what it is supposed to show?

Bulls, here' the info I got from a college counselor at my high school last year when I was looking into colleges. This info is a year old, but it's still probably pretty accurate:

Middle 50% ACT Range: 17-25

GPA: if they accept people with high teens ACT scores, I'd bet they accept GPA's as low as 2.8 or 2.9, but it doesn't say on the info I got what their average GPA is.

It's strange because my HS scattergrams show the average GPA to be a 3.4, and thats higher than what others including UIC say.

UIC is not that hard to get into, but is not a complete joke. An average student can get in, and a student with a 3.4 is probably up for some scholarship money(don't quote me on that though).

Thanks. What do you consider the average student to be? 2.9 and a 25 ACT?

I had a 3.72 GPA and a 26 ACT and didn't get a grant and defintely no scholarship from UIC, so the person who said you could get a scholarship is wrong, UNLESS THE STUDENT COMES FROM A A FAMILY THAT ISN'T STABLE IN TERMS OF MONEY SITUATIONS.

Average student there? Maybe like u said 2.9-3.0 GPA and probably a 20-23 ACT cause remember middle 50% which excludes the top 25% of people and the bottom 25% of people is between 17-25. So my guess would be a 20-23 as an average.
