UIUC 2015 Decisions Thread

Do the notices for the merit scholarships come in the mail or in email?

Merit scholarship notifications come via regular mail.

Thanks! I wonder if LAS has started sending out notices.

Anyone know where I can find what percentage of deferred and waitlisted they eventually accept?

They said I’ll know by February 17th :(.

rd result is coming out in around two weeks…

how important are essays? in comparison to class rank and ACT?

They and ECs take on more importance, the closer your class rank and ACT put you to a deny decision.

eight days left…im getting nervous…

My application changed to “NONE: Engr Undesignated -UIUC” and “Engineering Undesignated, Engineering Courses”. I applied regular decision. Does anyone know if this means I got admitted or not?

during priority decisions, when people’s majors changed it means that they are now being considered for that listed major…many of the people i saw on here who said that the listed major changed got into that major during priority, so it seems like you have a good chance…

does everyone’s statuses say “Complete Ready For Review” and their listed major??

@timxie one more week left finally!

Daughter’s status went from “Pending-Manual Review Req” to “Complete Ready for Review” (yesterday) to nothing today. That row completely disappeared, and her major and department are still the same. Hopefully this last week will fly by …

@ HockeyMom63: The website says that students will no longer be able to view their decisions until after 18th Feb 5pm CST. So that row has disappeared for all now. One week!

And one more thing, is this the RD decision date or just for those who were deferred EA? Because the website says this.

* You can no longer view your decision when checking your application status online. All decisions for ** priority applications ** will be posted February 18 at 5 p.m., CST. *

See here: [U</a> of I Admissions: Check Application Status](http://admissions.illinois.edu/apply/check_status.html)
It’s a typo, I guess.

EDIT: 6 days, 11 hours, 55 mins. to be exact!!

February 18 is the decision date for RD and deferred EA applicants. The EA applicants who were admitted in December are probably not still checking the website daily, lol! (Or, in my case, several times a day!)
