Hi guys, I did not find any thread discussing the 2020 Spring Transfer. Maybe we can share our stats and results here.
I am an international transfer applicant and plan to apply for the CS + Econ major. I have completed more 100 credits. Not sure whether this would affect my application.
Garrry, Considering you do have to complete 60 credits at UIUC in order to graduate, it is hard to tell whether they would admit you or not.
What are my Chances?:
Primary: School of Social Work
Secondary: Sociology
HS GPA: 2.67
ACT: 17
CREDITS Completed: 15
CREDITS IP: 24
Community College GPA: 4.0
My University GPA: Unknown (finishing a semester)
Admission Essay: 9/10 (in my opinion)
As to already having 100 semester hours, the answer is that it could affect your admission , although it does not necessarily rule out admission. See the applicable Transfer Handbook and view the major you will be seeking transfer into, https://admissions.illinois.edu/Content/docs/Handbook_LAS.pdf; for CS and Economics (and essentially every major) preference for admission is given to those who have completed 80 hours or less of college before starting at UIUIC as a transfer.
Hi, has anyone here received their admissions notice yet ?
I do. I heard back a week after all my material been submitted.
I applied on the day of the deadline and was just accepted this past Friday. However, there was an issue getting a transcript sent over which delayed their decision, but nonetheless I am IN!
I submitted a transfer application two days late due to illness. I still haven’t heard back! I’m transferring from a local community college.
