I am planning to go to 2 years at community school so then I can transfer to UIUC. I was wondering what are my chances?
Would it be better if I went to UIC for a year instead of 2 years at cc to improve my chances of getting in?
I am just a bit overwhelmed because the accounting is ranked #2 in the nation at UIUC and it is my dream to go there. I don’t want to go to 2 years at CC and not get in.
Bump! Someone please reply
Do which ever you think you’ll enjoy more, but try to stay as close to a 4.0 GPA as possible. It can be quite difficult to transfer in to some of UIUC’s programs, even with a 3.6 or 3.7 GPA.
I don’t think there will be much difference in transferring from UIC versus transferring from a community college. The key is to simply do as well as you possibly can. Without knowing a lot more information (including how well you do in college over the next couple of years), it’s impossible to say what your chances are.
Do you think that I should go to CC for 2 years and then u of i or straight to depaul?
