Is the Aleks exam online or do I actually have to go to the campus to take it? That's a hassle to me because I live out of state. It also states that it will provide its own calculator for me? Can someone clarify?

Also I took Caclulus BC junior year but I skipped a year of math. How well is that going to hold up for me?
Are there study guides online?

They say I have to take it two weeks prior to registration. The earliest I can sign up is June 14 but I don't graduate until June 5. Registration goes from June 4-July 11 but I want to sign up as early as possible to get my classes. Will this affect my first come first serve class selection?

Lastly.. why in the world do we have to pay 100 bucks to register?

OP, I think you need to do some exploration of the UIUC site to learn everything you need to know as an accepted freshman because your questions indicate you have not yet done so. For example, the site tells you Aleks is an on-line test which you can a take take multiple times. There are also other placement tests you may have to take depending on your situation which are also on-line tests that need to be taken before registering. You pay $100 for the registration session because that is the what UIUC charges for what is not just registering but a full day program that you must attend at UIUC to even be able to register. The later you take that registration session the higher the chance that you will blocked out from some courses and times for courses you may want. Anyone who has accepted admission can sign up for a summer session and the earlier you sign up up the better because dates do fill. Finally, whether you have to take more math is going to depend on what your major is. You can get credit for Calc AB but not BC since 4 is the minimum score required for credit.
