UIUC and University of Iowa?

Hello, I'm a junior in Illinois, and I wanted to hear about my chances at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaigne, and at the University of Iowa. Since I'm from Illinois, I want to go UIUC because it would be a lot cheaper and I come from a low income family.

GPA: 3.81 (weighted)
ACT: 29 (taking it again this saturday)
Class Rank: Our school doesnt have it
EC: I'm involved in a couple of clubs, and im gonna do a lot of community service this summer.

What do you think my chances are at those two universities? What about Loyola, can i get in there and would it be cheaper?

Real good shot at UIUC. But given the state’s money woes, financial aid is an iffy proposition, and the total COA is in the $30,000 range. You might want to look at some private schools where you’d be well above the average and perhaps qualify for some merit aid: Augustana, Lake Forest, Bradley, Evansville, Knox, as well as Loyola and DePaul.

^^UIUC never used to be holistic. If it’s like it used to be, you could look up your scores on a grid of GPA/ACT (or SAT) and figure out if you would be admitted.
