UIUC application questions...

If I apply during the priority filing period, do they include my
first semester senior grades when they calculate my GPA?
how about if I apply during the regular admission period?

and If I apply during the priority filing period, would it be easier for me to get in to UIUC? I heard it is better to apply during the priority filing period if I want to increase my chance.. I'm not sure if this is true..

lastly, on the UIUC website, it says all the applicants have to include 300 words or less essay, and they give two topics.. so is this mean I have to write one essay that covers both of those topics? or Do I have to write two separate essays?

Thank You..

For all applications, to my knowledge, your grades through junior year are considered. It’s better to apply during the priority period cause there are more spaces available, though some colleges/departments will defer most applicants until all have been considered…should still aim for the priority period, however. You write 2 essays, one on each topic, each essay should be no more than 300 words.

Only grades through junior year are considered for admission for all applicants. Applying by priority date gives you “some” advantage over later applicants, but it is not a large advantage partcularly for business college which likes to hold off on majority of decisions until all apps are in; engineering also holds off on many until all apps are in but not to the degree the business school does. LAS does make majority of decisions with those submitting by priority date. As noted, there are two essays.
