I heard it is pretty tough to get into College of Engineering(I want to major in Computer Science)..

Is it okay if I apply as undecided, then take the courses needed to enter the College of Engineering later on?..It is the same right?Do I have like any disadvantages?

That is not a good idea. Apply to your desired engineering program. If you are denied admission, you will automatically be considered for DGS or another program related to your program of choice, if one is available. If you’re admitted, you’re set. If not, well, then you’ll need to apply, but you’ll at least have a shot at getting directly into your program this way.

Beware that the situation with cs is very tight right now because classes are getting larger and more than ever applicants will apply to the program. Do apply to your favorite program now, and feel confident is the key. It generally very hard to transfer into cs program even as internal transfers, but if you work hard you will get chance to do it. That being said, your best chance will be apply directly as a freshman. If you apply as undecided, you can definitely take related course and apply as an internal transfer.
