UIUC Business chance?

<p>I applied during priority admission. My stats are as follows:</p>

<p>ACT: 30
GPA: 3.55 (W) 3.2 (UW) (top 30% of class)(average Illinois high school)
Course Load: 5 AP classes and multiple honors classes
Essays: Solid
ECs: Debate (only one year), non-varsity sport, Deca, Saturday foreign language school, 2 internships, part time job
Ethnicity: White (Eastern Europe) </p>

<p>The gpa is the biggest flaw and I would give anything to go back and improve it. I had to deal with a serious health problem in my family junior year and my grade trend went south. It is my first choice school. I have never cared about anything more in my life than getting in. What do you guys think? Good chance? </p>

<p>High reach for Business - they care a lot about scores and ECs in business. Your ACT is ok but GPA and ECs are lacking substantially. You will likely be denied from Business, but you might still get into DGS, where, if you do well in classes, you can transfer into the Business college.</p>

<p>thanks for the replies! Any replies from current UIUC students or alumni would be great. Does anyone know if the fact that I am the first person in my family to go to college will have any effect on the decision?</p>
