UIUC business in state transfer

To those of you who are familiar with UIUC business transfer...

I have posted a thread concerning NYU-CAS, and I know it is a reach.
However, because I live in IL near chicago, I am using UIUC-business as a safety school. Is this a safe idea?
I have 3.2GPA from cc with 46 credit hours. I have business exprience which I have illustrated in the thread I just mentioned.
(<a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=237067%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=237067</a>)
The fact that I only have 46 credit hours is bothering me.

anyone? please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hm, i don't know if a 3.2 will make uiuc business a safety, per se

i would be more bothered by the 3.2 than the 46 credit hours

UIUC is a reach for you as a transfer. Though you meet minimum GPA, that minimum does not mean you will be admitted and the higher the GPA, the higher the chance of admission. The business school gets between 350 and 380 transfer applicants a year and admits less than a 1/3. It also highly favors junior transfers (those with at least 60 credit hours at time of transfer) over others, although you do not have to have completed 60 hours when you apply, just by the time you transfer.
