Yea my hs does it on a 5 point scale, on a 4 point scale it would 3.96. Our weighted scale is out of 6.

Yes, me too, but I’m a US citizen living here for the past ten years. How is everyone doing?
Passing through.
Apply as a bio major. Good luck everyone!
Crossing fingers and toes for my S (mentally, anyway)…good luck to everyone…101 hours to go…
Good luck to your S @s16s18s21s25.
UIUC is an excellent school.
My D had to pull her app but I’m rooting everyone on this thread to get into UIUC.
Does anyone know what percentage of kids are accepted into the business program by any chance? I remember reading somewhere that 4000+ kids applied this year, but never really found what percent get accepted
What do you guys think my chances are for the business school?
ACT: 31 (32 superscore)
GPA: 4.538 Weighted, not sure unweighted
Rank: 12% in a competitive public school
Honors: High Honor Roll all 4 years, Illinois State Scholar, AP Scholar with Honor
Activities: Basketball (4 years), Computer Club (2 years), NHS (1 year), Mu Alpha Theta (2 years)
Service: 40 hours as Religious Education assistant at local church
Rigor: Taken 7 APs and 6 Honors classes
And if you think I will get accepted, do you think I should attend Kelley at Indiana, or the business school at Illinois?
4pm! Why so late in the day???
It could be for the same reason as why UVA sends out results at 5pm on whichever day they decide to post. The GCs asked the UVA adcom to send out after school lets out so that the kids aren’t on their smartphones in class or between classes checking out their portals. It would be a big distraction (kids crying, kids high-fiving each other, kids calling parents, etc) if results are out in the middle of the school day.
Just my guess though.
@ChicagoSportsFn that sounds like a good guess. My D is out of school on Friday so it will be a long wait.
Over 4,000 apps, up slightly from last year when they accepted about 1,800 students. Overall you should expect something in the ballpark of 45%, but obviously that will vary by major. Also, like in the College of Engineering, that stat is a little overstated due to the fact that a subset of applicants will be admitted to a 2nd choice major within the College (the rejection from the 1st choice will not show up in the College-wide stats).
Good luck!
@YZamyatin Ahhh I see. Thank you!
Does any one know where UIUC ranks in Mechanical Engineering?
Is it as good as Purdue?
Thanks!!!
just 4 more days!!!
I’m so scared…my stats might not be good enough even though I am in state
Yay my first college decision (well, excluding my safety school).
Illi just sent an email that decisions will be ready after 4 pm on Friday!!!
