Reflections:
Strengths:
SAT/AP scores are also pretty good IMO, obviously not perfect.
SAT Physics test could have been better but I only took UConn ECE Physics 1201Q (AP Physics 1)
I’ve taken a bunch of engineering classes and I am also taking community college classes this year
Weaknesses: My essay could have been better but I wrote it the day of since it was super straightforward.
Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: I had the stats and ok ECs, just not the awards (only school stuff and the AP Scholar w/ Distinction award)
Where else were you accepted/waitlisted/rejected: Stonybrook and UConn so far, deferred from MIT (only place I applied EA)
General Comments (if any): N/A
My friend and I both got in CS in College of Engineering.
OOS
SAT: 1510 (770 math/740 english) (8/6/8 essay)
ACT: 34
GPA: Our school does weird GPA calculations so my GPA was 4.1 but my unweighted was 3.9.
AP classes: 10 AP classes
For clubs and stuff:
5 honor societies
A few other school clubs
The best achievement I have gotten was placing nationally in one of my clubs.
Also have volunteer hours like anyone else lol.
I’m not a terrific essay writer, so my essays were probably not the best.
Edit: Oh yeah forgot to mention I’m Asian male lol.
